  1. Ticket booking charges decreased: Rs. 10 in AC, Rs. 5 in sleeper
  2. Railways to install anti-collision devices in eight railway zones
  3. Rail Yatri Sewa - Assistance for senior citizens at major stations
  4. No increase in fares
  5. Relief for cancer patients in sleeper class
  6. Press concessions extended to family and dependents upto 20 years
  7. Concessions for film industry, technicians
  8. Rail-based industries will be set-up
  9. Rs 4,411 cr allocated for new rail lines
  10. No forcible acquisition of land, one member of land losing family to get a job.
  11. Rail link to Bangladesh proposed
  12. New Durantos to be run on Allahabad-Mumbai, Pune-Ahmedabad, Sealdah-Puri, Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam, Madurai-Chennai routes, among others.

  23. 117 new trains to be flagged out by March 31
  24. Airport-like trolleys to be provided at more stations.
  25. Age for senior citizen's concession reduced to 58 from 60.
  26. Concession for physically handicapped and gallantry award winners for travel in Rajdhani and Shatabdi expresses.
